The World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Trade Centre (ITC) launched a USD 50 million Women Exporters in the Digital Economy (WEIDE) Fund, where its aims to assist women-led businesses of todays to explore opportunities for women access to new markets in green economy and digital global trading system. Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, who served as the Minister of State for Foreign Trade in the United Arab Emirates, emphasized the importance of empowering women in trade. He stated that enhancing access to finance was crucial for achieving this objective. The establishment of the new Fund was regarded as a significant step forward, providing talented women entrepreneurs with the necessary capital to transform their ideas into thriving businesses. The UAE took pride in contributing to this essential initiative and supporting women’s economic empowerment.
