Heartland Tripura: To bolster the employability and skillsets of Tripura’s youth, Deloitte India and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) in Agartala collaborated on a project titled Heartland Tripura. The projects aim at creating career avenues for career advancement and personal development for undergraduate students, both for engineering and non-engineering disciplines. 

Heartland Tripura

It is a state-sponsored project whose objective is to foster career advancement and personal development opportunities for undergraduate students in both engineering and non-engineering disciplines in the state of Tripura. Supported by both the Government of India and the State Government of Tripura, this initiative seeks to equip students with a diverse set of modern technical and professional skills for future career advancement.

Key components of the project “Heartland Tripura”

  1. Skills Development: The project offers training in various areas such as cybersecurity, internal audit, analytics, and soft skills. These skills are essential for students to excel in the modern job market and contribute effectively to the workforce.
  2. Support for College Placement Season: “Heartland Tripura” is committed to supporting educational institutions during their placement seasons. It collaborates with esteemed institutions like the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tripura Institute of Technology, Maharaja Bir Bikram College, and Women’s College in Agartala, among others, to facilitate successful placements for students.
  3. Deloitte’s Integral Role: Deloitte India plays a significant role in the project by contributing to curriculum development, providing nationally recognized certifications, offering access to experienced trainers, and guiding colleges in organizing placement fairs.
  4. Identifying Job Opportunities: The project aims to identify target organizations that can offer job placements to graduates and build an advocacy network to encourage private companies to hire graduates from select colleges in Tripura. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and employment and provide students with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed in the workforce.
